End death 'taboo', doctors urge

People are being urged to think about the end-of-life care they would like Doctors leaders are urging people to talk about death to family and friends, so they can get the treatment they want at the end of their lives. The British Medical Association has published fresh guidance for doctors, taking into account changes in the law which come into force this weekend. The changes allow people to nominate someone to have the final say on their treatment, if they cannot communicate. [Ben Licher]
